Street photography is a particular passion of mine. I could sit in a cafe all day and make up stories about the people who pass. That probably relates to my documentary film career, and, as they say, there’s some things you just can’t make up. There’s always some unexpected and quirky note of personal style or a heated conversation that captures the richness of life. There’s also that thing that Gary Winnegram did better than anyone else- the tableau. You eyes wander around the picture, discovering moment after moment, and the image unfolds like a story. Sometimes, your eye lands on a hidden detail that changes everything. This is the joy of wandering the streets and capturing life.
